PEOPLE: Fanatics Reimagines a World Where Tom Brady Played Baseball: ‘That Guy Just Never Let Us Lose’

A new Fanatics campaign is asking sports fans to enter an alternate universe where Tom Brady took his talents to the Montreal Expos.

On Dec. 12 (12/12, in honor of Brady’s jersey number), Fanatics Collectibles is launching a Topps 2023 Bowman Draft trading card set featuring the G.O.A.T. 's first-ever baseball card.

The hilarious homage reimagines a sports world in which Brady — who was actually drafted by the Expos as a catcher in the 18th round of the MLB Draft in 1995 — opted to play baseball instead of football.

The autographed baseball cards, which show the seven-time Super Bowl champ in an Expos uniform, offer a glimpse into what might have been, had the quarterback caught and not thrown the ball.

The retired NFL player even gets in on the action, channeling a bizarro Brady in a commercial for the creative campaign.

“I caught a lot of Expos fastballs,” Brady says, playing a retired baseball player/car dealer. “But now, here’s my pitch to you. Come on down to Brady Auto, and catch some major-league saving…”
