On the morning that all 30 MLB clubs unveiled new spring training caps earlier this month, many fans in legal sports betting states who bought them through Fanatics received emails or pop-up alerts with the tagline “Your bonus bet is waiting,” with links to Fanatics’ sportsbook, where they could redeem bet credits worth $100 without making a deposit.

Reminders also appeared at the bottom of order confirmations and on delivery status updates buyers received in the next few days.
