Canada Soccer and Fanatics Agree to Long-Term Retail Partnership to Enhance Fan Shopping Experience
Today, Fanatics, a global leader for licensed sports merchandise, and Canada Soccer, the country’s governing body for the sport, announced a long-term, multichannel retail partnership which will significantly enhance the shopping experience for fans and provide the widest assortment of Canada Soccer merchandise ever available. The deal will see Fanatics launch and operate Canada Soccer’s new standalone e-commerce and mobile platform, as well as operate on-site retail at Canada Soccer’s Men’s and Women’s National Team matches throughout the country.
Starting today, fans will have access to a new technology-laced e-commerce platform, CanadaSoccerStore.com, which is powered by Fanatics’ industry-leading Cloud Commerce Platform. This online destination will provide fans with a best-in-class shopping experience, whether shopping online or via mobile, featuring hi-resolution product displays, frictionless checkout and the quickest access to new product offerings.
As excitement builds ahead of an important and busy summer for Canada Soccer’s National Teams, fans in Canada will now have access to a wide selection of official team product, including replica Nike kits for stars including Christine Sinclair and Alphonso Davies. The innovative online shopping destination will also give fans a new opportunity to customize their own kits with the Canada Soccer owned “Power” font recently previewed by both the Men’s and Women’s National Teams.
