Jake Arrieta Selects Fanatics For His First-Ever Exclusive Collectibles and Memorabilia Deal
SUNRISE, FL (March 1, 2017)– Fanatics, the global leader for officially licensed sports merchandise, has announced an exclusive collectibles and memorabilia partnership with 2016 World Series champion and 2015 Cy Young Award winner Jake Arrieta. Fanatics Authentic, the company’s memorabilia division, will be the sole distributor of authentic Jake Arrieta memorabilia, giving MLB and Cubs fans alike the chance to own rare pieces of historic signed and game-used collectibles across the Fanatics platform, including MLBShop.com and Fanatics.com.
Just months after capturing the Chicago Cubs’ first World Series Championship in 108 years, Arrieta becomes the latest athlete to join Fanatics’ impressive exclusive roster that includes teammates Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo and superstars David Ortiz, Steph Curry, Peyton Manning and Connor McGregor.
“Fanatics is the industry leader for licensed sports memorabilia, and I knew they would be the perfect partner for me,” said Arrieta. “It’s great to get back to work at training camp and to see the fans come out and welcome us as Champions – it should be another exciting season.”
The partnership marks Arrieta’s first-ever exclusive autograph and collectibles deal, giving fans the opportunity to commemorate his stellar career through several one-of-a-kind items, including game-used pieces from the World Series.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Jake for his first-ever memorabilia deal and add him to Fanatics’ star-studded athlete roster, right alongside several of his Cubs teammates and some of the most decorated champions around the world,” said Ross Tannenbaum, President of Fanatics Authentic. “Fans will now have even more ways to commemorate the Cubs’ historic title and Jake’s stellar achievements over the past few years.”
Over the last three seasons, Arrieta has been one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball. Since being traded to the Cubs in 2013, he has pitched two no-hitters and amassed a win-loss record of 50-19, which includes his Cy Young season in 2015 when he went 22-6 with a remarkable 1.77 ERA. In 2016 he was selected to his first All-Star Game and was instrumental in helping the Cubs take home their first title since 1908, winning Games 2 and 6 during the World Series run.”
Arrieta’s autographed memorabilia is now available at Fanatics.com and MLBShop.com.
