Fanatics Names Jack Boyle President of Merchandising

JACKSONVILLE, FL – June 19, 2012 – Fanatics, Inc., a leading online retailer of officially licensed sports merchandise, today announced the appointment of Jack Boyle, 44, as President of Merchandising. Boyle will report to Fanatics CEO Alan Trager.

In his new role, Boyle will oversee merchandising for all of the Fanatics sites, which includes managing vendor relationships and building a profitable licensed vendor business. He will develop and execute the product strategy that drives Fanatics growth through the ideation, selection, pricing and promotion of merchandise.

“With all of the exciting changes that have occurred at Fanatics this year, including our recent acquisition of Dreams, we’re thrilled to bring on someone like Jack who possesses more than two decades of merchandising experience across multiple categories,” said Trager. “Our company has always been about giving fans the opportunity to express their fandom and support their favorite sports, teams and players. We look forward to working with Jack to continue our history of giving fans as many unique and high-quality choices as we can.”

“Fanatics is driving the expansion of the overall licensed sports merchandise market, which has grown significantly thanks to the Internet,” said Boyle. “I’m excited to be joining the Fanatics team to help expand its business through an overall commitment to broader merchandise selection, more competitive pricing, superior customer service, and above all, a love of sports.”

Prior to his position at Fanatics, Boyle was Executive Vice President – General Merchandise Manager, Women’s and Intimate Apparel at Kohl’s Corporation. Last year, he oversaw more than $4 billion in net sales across all of Kohl’s stores and Kohls.com. Before joining Kohl’s in 1999 as a Vice President of Merchandise Planning and Allocation, he spent ten years rising through the ranks at Famous-Barr, a division of The May Department Stores Company, where he grew through the ranks from Assistant Buyer to Divisional Merchandise Manager.

Boyle is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia, where he majored in Finance and Banking.
