Doug Mack was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Fanatics in April 2014.
Doug has spent the last 20 years in Silicon Valley as an Internet and eCommerce innovator and has overseen the transformation of Fanatics from a niche North America online retailer into a multibillion-dollar global, vertical consumer brand. Today, Fanatics has more than 7,500 employees across 12 worldwide locations and 300 league and team partnerships.
Under Doug’s leadership, Fanatics has innovated the licensed sports industry through a model we call vertical commerce, which combines cutting-edge technology, mobile and data capabilities with licensed product rights and on-demand manufacturing to best serve the intense “in the heat of the moment” demand of sports fans everywhere. During his tenure, Fanatics has been named one of the “50 Most Innovative Companies in the World” by Fast Company, “Sports Business of the Year” by Yahoo! Finance, and was awarded the “Business Model of the Decade” (2010-2019) by Sports Business Journal.
Prior to Fanatics, Doug served as CEO of One Kings Lane, a leading online brand for home decor, which he grew into an Internet Retailer Top 100 company. Previously, Doug was CEO and co-founder of Scene7, the leading B2B rich-media platform for eCommerce, which powered sites for more than 1,000 global retailers, including Nike, Amazon and Home Depot. After completing the sale of Scene7 to Adobe, he ultimately became the GM of the digital media division, which included flagship properties such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Flash Media Server.
Doug began his career in the General Electric Financial Management Program, then was an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company and later became Executive Vice President of Broderbund Software. Doug was recognized in “The Recode 100” list for people in technology and business and has also ranked annually as one of the top CEOs in the world by Comparably, based on anonymous surveys of employees across large companies.
Doug is a graduate of Boston College and an avid Bay Area sports fan.
