Fanatics has a strong international presence.

Delivering to over 180 countries, running stores in over 12 languages and supporting multi-lingual call centres incorporating 11 languages, the international arm takes Fanatics Inc. across the world.

Fanatics extended the reach of its licensed sports merchandise business by acquiring UK-based international sports e-commerce company, Kitbag on February 2nd, 2016. It now supports and compliments Fanatics’ successful U.S. operation by focusing on partnerships with the biggest sporting teams and organizations around the world, especially in the global sport of football (soccer).

Operating from its base in the UK’s sporting stronghold of Manchester, the international business provides online, retail and end-to-end event solutions for more than 25 partners across sports including football, motorsports, rugby, tennis and golf.  In football, Fanatics has relationships with globally recognised English Premier League brands including Manchester United, Manchester City and Everton, as well as with Spanish giants, Real Madrid, German club Borussia Dortmund, French sides Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille, and Scottish Champions, Glasgow Celtic.

Internationally, Fanatics also delivers specific global leadership in event, city centre and in-venue retail; providing expertise at leading soccer venues, including those for Manchester City, Everton and Aston Villa and at events such as the Ryder Cup and the Solheim Cup.

Fulfilment and service infrastructure has also expanded internationally, leveraging the historic expertise of Kitbag in international markets and integrating with the marketing and technology solutions traditionally used by Fanatics across its sites and partners in the U.S.

ryderPARTNERSHIP WITH THE 2014 RYDER CUP

In 2012 we were appointed as the official retailer for The 2014 Ryder Cup event staged at Gleneagles in Scotland. This included the operation of the e-commerce store and physical event retail.

In the week of trading at the tournament, over £5million worth of on-course sales were generated through a variety of retail offerings.

The main retail venue was 2,400 square metres of retail pavilion. Satellite retail units were also operated around the course, at transport links and in hospitality areas.

Other services included; On-site personalisation, click and collect, purchase on-course and ship home, VAT refund, merchandise drop off and collect. There was also dynamic currency conversion to accommodate foreign currency payments.

An exclusive fan range was also created in association with Ryder Cup Europe and with the support of European Captain, Paul McGinley.

Overall, the 2014 Ryder Cup event drew a revenue growth of 143% compared to that of the previous event in 2010. There was also a 249% increase to online sales in the same period.

“We are delighted with the partnership that Ryder Cup Europe has forged.  Our long-term, successful multi-channel partnership culminated in us delivering a world class retail operation at Gleneagles for The 2014 Ryder Cup and our partnership has allowed us to significantly improve the experience for our consumers.
