MADISON, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin athletic department announced on Thursday a new partnership with Fanatics to be the school’s new e-commerce provider and power the improved online store at BuckysLockerRoom.com beginning July 1, 2016.
In partnering with Fanatics, the world’s largest retailer of officially licensed sports merchandise, Wisconsin joins a list of prominent collegiate and professional sports teams, leagues and organizations, which included the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, MLS, PGA and hundreds of pro teams.
“We are excited to team up with Fanatics to enhance the products and services available to the best fans in all of college sports,” said Director of Athletics Barry Alvarez. “Fanatics’ proven e-commerce track record and cutting edge technology and innovation will allow Badgers fans the ability to shop whenever, wherever and however they’d like, which is something that drew us to partnering with them.”
The new online store, which goes live on July 1, will offer an expanded merchandise selection, including a wide assortment of women and kids gear, smooth navigation and an easy checkout process. With their multiple distribution outlets strategically located across the country, Fanatics ensures quick delivery of fans’ favorite merchandise, including a wide range of products from Wisconsin’s new official sideline provider, Under Armour, as well as unique products designed by the Fanatics Branded team.
As part of the upgrades and new features, UW fans will be able to shop via a custom mobile site for the first time ever and have access to world-class customer service capabilities.
